Ananmay 'Azazel' Narain

Beatboxer Vocal Artist Spotify Creator

As cliche as it may sound, I analyze data by day, and make music by night. I wish to bridge the gap between these two worlds at Spotify by innovating new ideas and collaborating with likeminded individuals, bringing together both the perspectives of a creator and a consumer. Here is a glimpse of my artistic side and journey.

Took a deep breath and tried something new by uploading my first song, 'Parwa' on Spotify, rapping in my native language - Hindi. The literal translation of 'Parwa' is 'Care'. This song is really close to my heart and it took my friends shoving me into the recording studio to get this done. I am glad they did.

No Comment A Cappella

Being a beatboxer, it was only natural for me to want to see what A Cappella was about at university. Let's just say that it was a humbling and an extremely fun experience to make music and compete against other groups. Check out our song with me on vocal percussion. Please note that it isn't a lot like Pitch Perfect, it's quite impossible for 15 people to freestyle and sound good at the same time.

I was stoked when MTV reached out to me to represent the Indian beatboxing community and do a 50-minute interview. Imagine my excitement when the interview and showcase hit more than 33,000 views on Facebook. Brilliant times!
